CERTIFICATIONS AND COMPLIANCE
A clear and measurable commitment
We have always been committed to ensuring the highest level of transparency and compliance with regulations. Since 2002, we have integrated our quality policy by actively involving all our employees and partners, ensuring that their daily contributions are tangible and have a positive impact on the entire business. Thanks to this participatory approach, our commitment to quality and legality is clear and measurable.
Quality Certification
Sharing process analysis enables the organization to identify factors that could lead to deviations and non-compliance with regulations and corporate objectives, and to implement preventive controls to minimize negative effects and make the most of market opportunities by anticipating trends.
This approach is implemented through the attainment and maintenance of the following certifications:
Sustainability Certification
Under the new RED II Directive, 14% of the fuel used in the transport sector must come from second-generation fuels, such as biodiesel made from used vegetable oil. Biofuels and bioliquids qualify as renewable energy sources under the Directive provided they meet certain sustainability requirements.
In order to comply with European and national regulatory requirements, as an economic operator within the biofuel supply chain, we have obtained and renew annually the following certifications:
International Sustainability and Carbon Certification – A voluntary certification system approved by the European Union;
National Certification Scheme – Certification system pursuant to Ministerial Decree of November 14, 2019.
Legality Rating
The legality rating is a summary indicator of compliance with high standards of legality by companies that have applied for it. Companies (whether sole proprietorships or corporations) that cumulatively meet the following requirements may apply for the rating:
- operational headquarters in Italy;
- minimum revenue of two million euros for the fiscal year ending in the year prior to the year of the application;
- registration in the commercial register for at least two years as of the date of the application;
- compliance with the other substantive requirements set forth in the Regulation.
This recognition takes the form of a rating ranging from a minimum of one to a maximum of three “stars.”
WHITE LIST
White Lists are registries maintained by each Prefecture with the aim of making anti-mafia checks more effective for business activities considered to be at higher risk of mafia infiltration. For this reason, inclusion on the White List is mandatory for certain specific categories of businesses if they are to enter into direct or indirect contracts—such as subcontracts—with the government.
Even if a company does not intend to participate in public tenders or otherwise receive contracts from the government, inclusion on the White List can serve as a guarantee to third parties, including in transactions between private entities.
